She wrote, "The mountains are so majestic -
I imagine that if you were here, you wouldn't be able to take your brush off of them!"

He was a painter and he inspired her with his work.

The woman was walking up and down the line asking "Is this anyone's bag? I took the wrong bag off of the bus!"

"How do you take the wrong bag off of a bus?" he asked...as he bent down to check the name tag on his suitcase...

At the airport she announced "Make sure you have a name on your bag."

"Fred and Ethel," I thought, "those would make great names."

I got to the front of the line with a book in one hand and my parking ticket in the other. The sign read "We validate."

"Can you validate me?" I asked as I handed the guy behind the counter the book.

"Sure," he said as he reached for my parking ticket.

"No, not the parking ticket, me," I said

"You are a very wonderful person!" he replied

And I thanked him as I took my book and walked away with a smile.

If you only had twenty dollars, but the cheese cost twenty one dollars, what would you say to the cheese clerk? she asked.
Can I use my credit card? she replied.

I went for a walk this morning
And when I look toward the mountains
I feel as though I am living inside of a painting.

The doctor told the family that their precious girl had a 5% chance.
So the son turned to his parents and said,
"5% to God is like the Grand Canyon."

I've got to remember not to sweat the small stuff
but sometimes it feels like the small stuff is all we can control.

She's lying on the operating table fighting for her life...
And I'm wondering where I am going to store all of my books when I move...

somehow feeling lonely tonight - maybe it was the movie...and watching a boy chase an airplane....

Dogs are just like people. . .
They like to roll around in everyone else's shit.

(Thanks Tommy!)

She looked at the painting and wrote:
Your work continues to grow and become more beautiful with each passing day

"Thank you," he replied, "and so do you."

When she was young she put on her mother's clothes
And pretended she was an actress
And performed for the thousands of reflections of herself
She could see in the mirrors hung in her parent's bedroom

Now she plays upon the stage
Of the drama called Life
And pretends she's not

When she was young she used to play with crayolas and paint and popsicle sticks
And draw outside the lines
And display her work on the Refrigerator Museum of Art
And pretend she was an artist

Now she scribbles and doodles on her to do list
And pretends she's not.

"You are more of a friend than I think my actions show," he wrote.
She replied:
"Your actions do show me that you feel I am a faithful friend.
I don't require that we 'do' much to prove our friendship
All I require is that you give unconditional love
And you have always done that.
That is great enough action for me."

The sign on the thermostat read:
"Thermostat is sensitive. Please do not disturb."

She looked around and didn't see anyone
So she turned to the thermostat with a smile and said,
"Your mother buys your clothes!"

He wrote her about the message he received:
"I hate you and never want to speak with you again."

Welcome to the roller coaster of relationships, she replied
Remember, you can choose to get off the ride whenever you like...

"That's pretty," he said.
And she knew
That no matter how you combined six letters,
they could never express what she saw.

And the sun, over her right shoulder, agreed.

"Thinking about the meaning of life?," he asked as I stared out at the Rockies.
"Why would I be thinking about it," I replied, "when I can see it..."

He said he had a few blonde moments;
Only they happened to last 9 months...

He said he would be working his butt off
And she wondered why he would want to
get rid of a perfectly good butt
And how he would manage to sit...
