Crash the (DSP) Stash! by Regina Andari
Crash the (DSP) Stash! – Regina Andari
Ask any stamper or paper crafter and, if they’re honest, they’ll admit to having more designer paper than they’ll probably live long enough to use. The problem (for lack of a better word) is that there are too many gorgeous paper collections coming and going all the time. This tutorial will demonstrate a fun, colorful, and creative technique that will not only have you using that paper you’ve been hoarding, but it also gives the green light to mixing and matching colors and patterns that you would normally never use together. While you are putting your hoarded stash to work, you will thoroughly enjoy some trendy techniques such as the quilt and tag cards, tag-shaped window, glimmer pinwheel card, and a colorful, fun Bargello design. Of course, you’ll need a pretty place to put your stack of cards, and this tutorial includes a handy pocket portfolio for that purpose. Get the full step-by-step instructions by going to Craft Project Central and subscribing to the month of January!

Snow Day Fun by Buffy Cooper
Snow Day Fun! – Buffy Cooper
It’s 10 a.m. on a snow day. The snow is piling up outside and doesn’t look like it’s going to stop, and then you hear those three dreaded words – “Mom, I’m bored.” Keep your children entertained with this Snow Day Fun set. Use the Stampin’ Up! Snow Place bundle to create mix and match elements that will cling to the scenic background board. It’s simple enough for older children to create for younger siblings or neighbors, and smaller children will enjoy mixing the pieces to create cute snow scenes. Best of all, it’s durable enough to stand up to hours of use by tiny fingers. If you don’t have children, you can create this project for a friend who does and make a young child’s day. Instructions for a storage/gift box and a coordinating card are included. This would make a fun class for moms so they’ll be ready for that first snow day! Head to Craft Project Central and subscribe to the month of December for full step-by-step instructions!

Intricate die cuts can add a very special level of detail to your cards. Here, the Sleigh Ride Edgelit is highlighted by creating a pocket card with the die cut insert. Christmas Tags With A Vintage Feel
I'm drawn to things that have an aged or vintage feel and that is true with paper tags too! These two tag designs were created with that vintage feel in mind. For the top tag I used the Antique Tags stamp set by Stampin' Up! The second tag was made with the Six Sayings stamp set and whole lot of sponging of the edges :) The second tag makes me think of warm wooly sweaters and drinking a cup of hot cocoa by a warm fire...and we can't forget some snowflakes falling outside the window :)

Warm Wishes Tag
For those of you celebrating the Christmas holiday season, I wish you a holiday filled with joy, happiness, health and peace :) Between now and Christmas I am going to intermittently share some of the tags and cards that we put together at my recent Stamp-a-Stack. Hope they help get you into the holiday spirit!
This simple tag used the Winter Wishes stamp set by Stampin' Up! along with some fine red glitter I had in my stash. Sponging all of the edges of the tag and focal image gives the tag a vintage feel.

Thankfully Embrace Art Journal Page
My art journal is a wonderful place to explore, experiment and play! Over the weekend I decided to try doing a matte medium transfer with a sentiment I printed out on my laser printer. I also played with molding paste, stamping, stenciling, tissue paper...you get the point...I played A LOT! This "everything but the kitchen sink" page was the result! :) Not only did I have fun (in addition to a bit of struggle), I also learned a lot. Open up your art journal and play! You may or may not like what you end up creating, but you will definitely learn and have fun....and you may even surprise yourself with what you create!!!! :)

Create Your Own Hot Glue Stencil: A Video!!!!!
Sometimes we feel like we need the latest supply in order to make art. What if we looked around our house and used what we already have? What if we used old supplies in new ways? That was my goal for today's video! I had heard about creating stencils using hot glue and I decided to give it a try. In this video I guide you through making your own hot glue stencil and then using that stencil to create an art journal page! As an added bonus, we will make a small hot glue embellishment. Last Minute Christmas Gifts - November Bonus Project by Buffy Cooper
Last Minute Christmas Gifts– November Bonus Project! – Buffy Cooper
We all have that one holiday gift we forget to buy, don’t we? The new neighbor, our hair stylist, Uncle Joe who just moved back to town…forgetting a gift for any of these could cause more stress during a season that should be fun. If you have a last minute addition to your list, here are a few
ideas that are quick and relatively simple. Best of all, they use products that almost every crafter keeps on hand. The projects use the Jingle All the Way Bundle to create gorgeous gifts anyone would love to receive. They also make beautiful home décor pieces for your holiday decorating. And since
they’re winter themed, they can stay up into the New Year. Bonus projects can be obtained by subscribing to two or more months in a row at Craft Project Central, putting the Craft Project Central badge on your blog, or by referring a friend and when they subscribe, letting Craft Project Central know. Head on over to Craft Project Central to learn more!

Thankful Forest Friends Thank You Card
Every single day provides an opportunity to reflect on what you are thankful for. Today I am thankful for getting up early and going for an outdoor swim in a heated pool even though it was below freezing when I first got to the pool. I am also thankful for the dry sauna I was able to warm up in after my swim :) I am thankful for the ability to swim - a body that supports me and carries me through the water. I am thankful for the peace that the water brings me - a place to find some solace - the sounds, the ripples, the designs the sun casts on the bottom of the pool. I know that today will bring more to be grateful for. I wait to receive what the day has to bring with gratitude.
